Welcome to our RVing Mexico family adventures!
After living full-time in Mexico for three years in Sayulita, Chacala, and La Paz, we decided to say adios to sedentary life and hit the road in an RV.
Here is a record of our Mexico RVing journey (so far) as we make our way around this spectacular and endlessly-captivating country.

About our Home-on-Wheels
We bought our Class C motorhome in February 2024 in Oregon, quickly outfitted it for the journey and began heading south on March 4th. Six months in, we’re pretty pleased with our purchase.
It’s a low-miles 2010 Winnebago Chalet 24VR on a Ford Econoline E450 Super Duty chassis powered by a 6.8L Triton V10. It’s equipped with [almost] everything we need to comfortably explore North America with two young kids.
We’d never owned an RV before this (or even spent the night in one with the kids) before we set out on this journey. There’s been a bit of a learning curve, but we believe the best way to master something new is do what you can to learn and prepare ahead of time, commit to the long haul (come what may), and most importantly—get started.
Six months in, we’re surprised how much we’ve learned in a short time and how easy it’s been to adapt to living with a five- and eight-year-old in a 160-square-foot living space.
Of course, it hasn’t always been easy—and we’ve certainly had our share of challenges along the way—but that’s what makes it an adventure. We wouldn’t have tackled this if we thought it would a cake walk.

I could spend an entire post (or more) on this subject. But for here, I’ll keep it brief. Feel free to skip down to all our posts and trip reports as well.
Here’s a quick rundown of the onboard equipment we travel with to keep our family of four and home-on-wheels humming while RVing Mexico. There’s a boatload, er, RV-load, of other stuff, but I doubt anyone really cares about our sewage hose and flapper stoppers.
